Who reaches out to us
Families and guardians. Most people who write are exploring residential habilitation for the first time. You do not need to have anything figured out before you reach out. If you want to read first, start with what residential habilitation is or try the quick eligibility check on our home page.
Case managers and plan developers. We are standing up our first homes and welcome referral conversations today. Our case-manager section covers how we work, and we are glad to answer anything about fit, capacity, or timing directly.
People who want to do this work. GemState is built around direct support professionals working consistent, full-time schedules with the same people. If that sounds like the job you have been looking for, introduce yourself and tell us a little about your experience.
What happens after you write
Your message goes directly to Cass Neilson, our founder and administrator, and he replies personally, usually within one business day. No intake queue, no automated responses.
A note on privacy: please leave out medical, diagnosis, and Medicaid details in a first message. A name and the best way to reach you is plenty. If we end up working together, anything sensitive is gathered later through appropriate channels, not over a web form.

GemState is a DHW-Certified Residential Habilitation Agency, Certificate No. RHA-6337. You can verify that right now with the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare at 877-457-2815 or DDARH@dhw.idaho.gov. We think every provider should make that this easy.
